Chai Lifeline, the international illness and crisis support network, is proud to announce that United Healthcare has become the official sponsor of its Moms-to-Moms Program, a cornerstone initiative in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania region, now to be known as the UHC Moms-to-Moms Program. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in providing unparalleled support and resources to mothers of children facing life-threatening or lifelong illnesses.
The Moms-to-Moms Program, offered by Chai Lifeline New Jersey/Pennsylvania, presents a nurturing environment for mothers to find solace, strength, and connection amidst the challenges of caring for a child with serious health issues. Through a variety of activities, including therapeutic nights out, peer support groups, and workshops, the program empowers mothers with the opportunity to share experiences, celebrate their children’s milestones, and access emotional support in a compassionate, likeminded community.
In recent months, the program has successfully hosted groups specifically for mothers of children with Spina Bifida and cancer, alongside events featuring inspirational speakers aimed at providing motivation and encouragement. Additionally, Moms-to-Moms has organized art-focused and therapeutic workshops, further highlighting the program’s commitment to offering diverse avenues for support and healing.
With United Healthcare’s sponsorship, the UHC Moms to Moms Program is poised to expand its reach and enhance its offerings, ensuring that more mothers can benefit from this vital support network. United Healthcare’s involvement underscores its dedication to the well-being of families and communities, particularly those navigating the complexities of pediatric health challenges.
“It’s critical for caregivers, especially those caring for the most vulnerable including children impacted by illness or crisis, to take time to support their own health and wellness needs,” said Samuel George, CEO, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Jersey. “That’s why we’re honored to collaborate with Chai Lifeline as they host Moms-to-Moms events throughout the community.”
“We are thrilled to partner with United Healthcare, a company that shares our vision of supporting families through some of their most challenging times,” said Rabbi Sruli Fried, MSW, Regional Director of Chai Lifeline New Jersey/Pennsylvania. “This partnership will enable us to broaden the scope of our Moms-to-Moms Program, creating more opportunities for mothers to find the encouragement, connection, and support they desperately need.”
