On Shivah Asar B’Tammuz, July 2, Camp Simcha Special was honored to welcome Rabbi Sholom Kamenetsky, Rosh Yeshiva of the Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia, for a special visit to camp.
Rabbi Kamenetsky toured the campgrounds, visited the medical center, and met with campers and staff. Addressing the older campers, he shared divrei chizuk and brachah, speaking about the significance of the Three Weeks and the importance of strengthening ahavas Yisrael and emunah during this period. His heartfelt words and genuine warmth made a profound impression on all who attended.
“Camp Simcha has always been a place where the worlds of Torah, chesed, and simcha come together,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “Having Gedolei Torah visit Camp Simcha is an immeasurable source of chizuk for our campers, families, volunteers, and staff. We are deeply grateful for the time the Rosh Yeshiva spent with us and for the inspiration he shared.”
