Children with serious illnesses and their families enjoyed a much-needed night out from the comfort and safety of their cars at Chai Lifeline’s Summer Kickoff Concert in Monsey, NY on July 1. The concert was the first in a series of programs and events for “Camp Simcha Without Borders,” Chai Lifeline’s new initiative to bring the magic of Camp Simcha to communities across the country this summer.
After months of quarantine, lockdown, and isolation, children with serious illnesses will have an exciting summer to look forward to thanks to Chai Lifeline’s new Camp Simcha Without Borders initiative. Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, Chai Lifeline’s flagship summer programs for children with cancer, blood disorders, and all forms of chronic illness, will bring the magic of Simcha to communities across the country.

FROM PPE DISTRIBUTORS TO E-COMMERCE, MEDIA TO MARKETING, FASHION TO FINANCE, COMPANIES ARE BUYING INTO A NETWORK FOR LIFE
Like the rest of us, businesses big and small have been shaken by the Coronavirus crisis. The global economy has been upended. Stimulus packages have been rolled out. Yet there is nothing quite as stimulating as helping a child in need.
These past few weeks have been challenging for all of us, but for many Chai Lifeline families, the impact of COVID-19 has been particularly devastating. Navigating the complexities of childhood illness is difficult enough under the best of circumstances. Doing so during a pandemic can be extremely terrifying and lonely.
Campaign will provide critical services to immunocompromised children and families
Chai Lifeline, the international children’s health support network, has launched an emergency response campaign to help children with life-threatening illnesses and their families during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Schools in communities across the world are closing their doors as part of precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19, and many parents find themselves in new and unfamiliar territory. Parents must now face the challenge of keeping their children occupied and educated, all while balancing their professional and financial responsibilities with potential personal and spiritual anxieties.
Chai Lifeline has launched an arts & crafts drive to help families across North America with hospitalized or homebound children during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“Though current precautionary measures limit Chai Lifeline’s ability to fully serve our clients in the usual manner, we remain committed to providing them with the best care possible,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, Chai Lifeline CEO. “This includes finding new ways to deliver our trademark joy to isolated children in hospitals, quarantines or homes. We hope this initiative brings children and their families some comfort and shows them that they are not alone in this time of crisis.”
Chai Lifeline asks that only new arts & crafts projects (suitable for children of all ages) are shipped to, or dropped off at, any of its regional locations:
