Over 700 cyclists from around the world are gearing up for the 17th annual Bike4Chai, the premier cycling event benefiting Chai Lifeline, the international children’s health support network.
Over the course of two unforgettable days, participants will ride up to 180 miles through scenic roads in New Jersey, the Pocono Mountains, and the Delaware River Valley, choosing from multiple route options designed for cyclists of varying skill levels. Throughout the ride, participants will enjoy fully stocked rest stops, SAG vehicles, and mechanical and medical support.

The destination, however, is unlike any ordinary finish line.
On Thursday, July 30, riders tackle the final leg of the ride, including the iconic Hawks Nest overlooking the Delaware River, before reaching what has become known as The World’s Greatest Finish Line at Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline’s medically supervised overnight camp for children with serious illnesses. As riders enter camp, they will be greeted by hundreds of cheering campers, counselors, staff, volunteers, and families, a moving reminder of the hope made possible through every mile ridden and every dollar raised.
“The World’s Greatest Finish Line isn’t about crossing a finish line on pavement; it’s about arriving for children who need us,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “Every mile ridden and every dollar raised helps ensure that families facing serious illness have a community standing beside them. When our riders arrive at Camp Simcha, they see exactly why they ride. They’ve helped create hope.”

“For almost two decades, Bike4Chai has brought together people from all walks of life with one shared purpose: helping children and families facing serious illness,” added Rabbi Sruli Fried, Executive Director of Bike4Chai. “The miles challenge you, but the mission inspires you. And there’s nothing like arriving at Camp Simcha to be reminded why every mile matters.”
Since its inception, Bike4Chai has grown into the nation’s premier charity cycling event, raising millions of dollars to support Chai Lifeline’s year-round services for children and families confronting illness, crisis, and loss. Funds raised through Bike4Chai help provide professional case management, meal delivery to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, emergency financial assistance, insurance advocacy, crisis intervention and trauma response, i-Shine afterschool programming, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, and dozens of additional programs that support families every day of the year.
Cyclists of every age and experience level participate in Bike4Chai, united by one mission: transforming every mile into hope for children and families who need it most.
