Magen David Yeshivah Students Rally for Chai Lifeline

In an inspiring show of unity and compassion, the students of Magen David Yeshivah, in Brooklyn, NY, have come together to support Chai Lifeline through their Chai-A-Thon 2024 Team Page. By forming a team and sharing their page with family and friends, these students have taken action to help advance Chai Lifeline’s mission of bringing hope and joy to children and families facing illness. To date, their efforts have raised an incredible $157,403—a testament to their dedication and the power of community.

This year’s Chai-A-Thon campaign holds special significance. The funds raised will sponsor children battling illness to attend Camp Simcha, ensuring they experience the joy and healing that this extraordinary camp provides.

Camp Simcha is more than just a summer camp; it’s a haven where children battling illness can forget their challenges, embrace fun, and form lifelong friendships. Thanks to the generosity of the Magen David Yeshivah community, children living with serious illnesses will have the opportunity to create cherished memories and feel the unwavering support of those around them.

The campaign culminated in a meaningful celebration on Wednesday, January 15, when the students presented a large check to Chai Lifeline’s CEO, Rabbi Simcha Scholar, at the school. Rabbi Scholar expressed his gratitude, saying: “The students of Magen David Yeshivah have shown us the incredible impact of working together for a cause greater than ourselves. Their dedication to supporting children impacted by illness and crisis is truly inspiring. This partnership of the Sephardic community reminds us all of the power of kindness and the difference we can make when we come together as a community.”

Magen David Yeshivah’s Chai-A-Thon efforts exemplify the power of youth-driven philanthropy. Their commitment not only raises essential funds but also spreads awareness about the vital work of Chai Lifeline’s Sephardic Division. Together, they are bringing light to the lives of children and families who need it most. Jack Tabbush, Director of Chai Lifeline’s Sephardic Division, shares: “The Magen David Yeshivah students have demonstrated the strength of our community through their incredible efforts for Chai Lifeline. Their dedication to the children and families we support is truly inspiring.”
