Rivky Schwartz, girls head counselor at Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special, received this text from a longtime camper. (We’ve changed a few of the details to protect our camper’s privacy.)
Rivky, I just had to share. I’m at a very important appointment at the hospital for genetics. I thought they would be doing testing today, so I for one was very nervous. We walked in and all of a sudden, we saw Esti (a case manager)! She just appeared by the elevator. I can’t even tell you… I don’t know her well but face a face of Chai Lifeline made me feel so at home and so at peace. I started smiling again. I started smiling again. The power of this organization continues to amaze me. One face that I recognized from Chai Lifeline and I felt so much better. Even though my parents were at my side, (I felt like) I’m not alone in all this. It reminded me how many people I have beside me cheering me on.
Behind Esti and Rivky and all our staff is an army of friends and supporters like you. Your contributions put Esti at the hospital. You made it certain that our camper could truly experience the healing power of Chai Lifeline.
Rivky and the whole CAMP SIMCHA staff keep up the great great work! May Hashem repay you with health and nachas.
