Chai Lifeline Hosts NYC Councilwoman Diana Ayala

New York City Councilwoman Diana Ayala visited Chai Lifeline’s Midtown Manhattan headquarters yesterday to learn more about the various programs and services Chai Lifeline offers children with serious illnesses and their families at no cost.

Ayala has worked for nearly two decades serving the people of her 8th District in social service agencies and government, and is a passionate advocate on issues including housing, gun violence, and senior services.

The meeting featured highlights of Chai Lifeline, including its case and family management, volunteer, and crisis intervention services, as well an overview of their medically-supervised summer camps, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special.

“Councilwoman Ayala brings vast experience in the field of social services to her current role and we are grateful for her leadership and interest in our organization,” said Chai Lifeline Chief Executive Officer Rabbi Simcha Scholar. “We look forward to partnering with Councilwoman Ayala to further enhance our services and expand our offerings to families battling pediatric illness in New York City.”
