Camp Simcha UK Appoints Daniel Giilis as New CEO

Camp Simcha UK, the United Kingdom affiliate of Chai Lifeline, has announced the appointment of Daniel Gillis as its new Chief Executive Officer. This significant leadership transition comes as Mr. Gillis’s predecessor, Neville Goldschneider, retires after 19 years of distinguished service.

Daniel Gillis has been an esteemed member of Camp Simcha UK since 2010, serving in various capacities including Head of Services and Deputy Chief Executive. His leadership and commitment have been instrumental in advancing Camp Simcha UK’s mission to provide support to families with seriously ill children.

“Daniel was the standout candidate who emerged from a very talented field of applicants. His passion for, knowledge of, and commitment to Camp Simcha is unquestioned,” said Simon Johnson, Chair of Camp Simcha UK. “The Trustees and I are looking forward to working with Daniel and the rest of the team, as we continue to grow Camp Simcha, moving it forward while maintaining its reputation as a highly respected and admired organization providing critical support to families with seriously ill children in the community.”

Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline, added, “Daniel’s experience and deep understanding of our community’s needs uniquely qualify him to lead Camp Simcha UK into the future and I am confident they will reach new heights in supporting our children and families under his direction.”

“I am absolutely thrilled to accept the position of CEO at Camp Simcha,” said Mr Gillis. “It is both an honor and a privilege to step into this pivotal role within our vital community charity. Having witnessed first-hand the profound impact our services have had on the lives of seriously ill children and their families, I am deeply committed to our mission. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated staff, trustees, volunteers, and supporters – all collectively striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support.”
