Mitzvah Marathoners: Bat Mitzvah Girls Run for Team Lifeline in Las Vegas
On Sunday, November 17, more than 140 men and women laced up their sneakers and ran with Team Lifeline in the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon/ Half Marathon/ 10K. Amongst them were Laila Cohen of Valley Stream, New York, Nina Plaut of Woodmere, New York, and Shira Waldman of Hollywood, Florida. They all decided to run for Chai Lifeline in honor of their Bat Mitzvahs, spending months training and fundraising to make a difference.

Chai Lifeline Mid-Atlantic and Ronald McDonald House Unveil First of its Kind Kosher Pantry in Baltimore
On Thursday, October 3, Chai Lifeline Mid-Atlantic, in collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland (RMHCMD), unveiled a first-of-its-kind Kosher Pantry to make it more convenient for families staying at the House who observe Kosher dietary laws. The Kosher Pantry is stocked with Kosher snacks and is located on the second floor of the new Ronald McDonald House at 1 Aisquith Street in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore. Kosher baked and perishable items will be delivered to the Kosher Pantry upon a family’s request.

Chai Lifeline NJ Helps Local Public School Families in Aftermath of Lakewood Fire
Last week, a two-alarm fire ripped through the High Point apartment complex in Lakewood, NJ, affecting at least 35 people and nine families. The devastation left several people injured and many more in need of housing assistance, including 20 students.
