Einav Danino, Mother of Slain Israeli Hostage, Visits Camp Simcha to Share Strength and Unity

Einav Danino, mother of Ori Danino HY”D, who was kidnapped and murdered by Hamas following the Nova Music Festival on October 7, recently visited Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline’s medically supervised summer camp for children with cancer and serious illness.

During her visit, arranged by Camp Simcha’s Rabbi Shay Schachter, Einav met with campers and staff, sharing her son’s story and offering heartfelt words of chizuk, resilience, and unity. In an emotional moment, she was introduced to a chassidish girl who had been davening for Ori since his abduction—an encounter that underscored the powerful thread of achdus that binds Klal Yisrael together.

“Einav’s strength in the face of unimaginable loss is an inspiration to us all,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “Her visit reminded us that even through the deepest pain, the Jewish people stand united. We were honored to welcome her to Camp Simcha and grateful for the chizuk she brought to our campers and staff.”
