For families facing serious illness and medical crisis, the holiday season can feel especially isolating, and even the smallest joys of Chanukah may seem out of reach.
Chai Lifeline’s annual Toy Drive helps bridge that gap. It is more than giving gifts. It delivers hope, connection, and a sense of belonging, ensuring that children and families navigating illness, crisis, or loss can still experience the light of Chanukah and the warmth of community support.

Each gift is carefully chosen to reflect a child’s personality, interests, and passions, bringing a personal touch and creating a truly special moment of happiness. Supporters can take part by selecting gifts from curated wish lists across Chai Lifeline’s regions. This Chanukah, more than 50,000 toys are expected to be distributed to more than 10,000 children in hospitals and homes across the country.
“As Chanukah approaches, our mission is to bring joy and hope to children and families navigating the most difficult of circumstances,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “The Chanukah Toy Drive is a tangible way for our supporters to show care and ensure these families feel supported during the holiday season.”
