Lakewood, NJ, May 25, 2022—Chai Lifeline New Jersey/Pennsylvania will culminate its annual dinner campaign with a program on July 26 at 8:00 PM. The campaign theme, “Take My Hand,” highlights the dedication, impact, and powerful work of Chai Lifeline NJ/PA in the Lakewood community.
In the past year, Chai Lifeline NJ/PA provided support to 1,367 families in the Lakewood area. 136 local children took part in Camp Simcha summer programs, more than 86,000 meals were delivered, 3,591 rides were provided to medical appointments, nearly 300 bereavement and crisis interventions were conducted following traumatic events, and more than 572 families stayed at the Chai House accommodations near Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
“Baruch Hashem, Lakewood and its surrounding communities have experienced tremendous growth in recent years,” said Chai Lifeline NJ/PA Director Rabbi Sruli Fried, MSW. “Our dedicated staff and volunteers are always there to lend a hand to families in need, now we need the community to lend a hand. This campaign will ensure Chai Lifeline can continue to grow along with our community and expand our support services to meet the needs of our children and families.”
