Chai Lifeline Brings Pre-Chanukah Joy to Families Facing Illness and Crisis

Chai Lifeline’s Greater NY region brought the warmth and light of Chanukah to more than 1,000 children, parents, and volunteers this Sunday, December 7, at its annual Chanukah Party. The event took place at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ and created unforgettable moments of joy, unity, and celebration for families impacted by illness and crisis.

Families enjoyed arcade games, rides, a buffet dinner, and a magic show with Eliyahu Jacob, with event lighting by Yoshi Bender. The night culminated with a live concert by Baruch Levine, highlighted by a special moment as a Chai Lifeline child took the stage to perform an original song.

“Events like these are taking place in Chai Lifeline regions across the country, with one singular mission: to surround families with love, community, and hope when they need it most,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “A child living with illness deserves moments of pure joy, and nights like these remind them and their parents that they are not alone.”

The celebration at iPlay America is part of Chai Lifeline’s broader effort to bring the magic and comfort of the Chanukah season to children facing illness and crisis. Across the country, the organization is hosting local events and distributing more than 50,000 toys, bringing Chanukah simcha to thousands of children in need. For more information, visit chailifeline.org/toys
