Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha, a beacon of hope and joy for children with cancer, disabilities, and other serious illnesses, is proud to announce the launch of the “Eternal Simcha: A Sefer Torah Legacy Campaign.” This alumni-led initiative aims to dedicate a Sefer Torah to be permanently housed at Camp Simcha, providing a symbol of achdus [unity] and chizuk [strength] for its campers, Chai Lifeline families, and the broader community.
Since its inception in 1987, Camp Simcha has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of seriously ill children by providing them with unmatched medically supervised summer experiences and restoring the joys of childhood. Through comprehensive recreational and therapeutic activities, Camp Simcha creates an environment where joy and support are paramount.
The “Eternal Simcha” campaign invites Camp Simcha alumni, parents, and friends to contribute to this sacred cause. This Sefer Torah, generously dedicated by Bari & Dani Erber and family, will unite the entire alumni community and beyond, while giving every participant an opportunity to express their hakaras hatov to Camp Simcha.
“Every year, Camp Simcha rekindles hope and joy in the hearts of children facing unimaginable challenges,” said Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline. “This Sefer Torah will not only be a source of spiritual inspiration but will help us create an eternal legacy of achdus and simcha for our campers and their families.”
In the zechus of a refuah for our campers and all of cholei Yisroel, we invite Camp Simcha alumni, parents, and the entire community to take part in this meaningful and sacred campaign. Contributions can be made in honor or in memory of loved ones, ensuring their names are woven into the fabric of Camp Simcha’s legacy.
