On Thursday, October 3, Chai Lifeline Mid-Atlantic, in collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland (RMHCMD), unveiled a first-of-its-kind Kosher Pantry to make it more convenient for families staying at the House who observe Kosher dietary laws. The Kosher Pantry is stocked with Kosher snacks and is located on the second floor of the new Ronald McDonald House at 1 Aisquith Street in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore. Kosher baked and perishable items will be delivered to the Kosher Pantry upon a family’s request.

“The kosher kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House is going to open the doors for a whole new demographic of Jews all over the world to be able to tap into the medical resources right here in the Baltimore community,” shared Tzvi Haber, director of Chai Lifeline’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
“Ronald McDonald House is happy to partner with Chai Lifeline to bring the first Kosher Pantry in the country to our Maryland House,” said Sandy Pagnotti, president & CEO of RMHCMD. “It is our goal at RMHCMD to meet the needs of our families as best as we can so they can focus on the health and needs of their families. The Kosher Pantry helps to do that for our observant Jewish families.”
